Deenanna
I have migrated a 50+ physician group from AthenaOne to eClincalWorks. At its core both are billing and EHR systems so there are many similarities. Granted there are many differences.
- You have to build your own rules in ECW.
- Payment posting is done by your team.
- EDI/ERA is managed by your team.
- Athena's reports are more user-friendly than in ECW.
- ECW is a lot less expensive than ECW.
- ECW has more built-in products that are plugins or add-ons in AthenaOne. i.e. Kiosks, Mobile Charge Entry, to name a few.
Feel free to call me to discuss further.

Subject: Transfer from AthenaOne?
Hi Deeanna,
We did not come from AthenaOne. We were on the old Medical Manager then to eCW back in 2005.

Has anyone moved to eCW that was previously using AthenaOne? I'm curious what you have noticed about the differences in functionality, support, and cost. And do you have any regrets?
Thanks.
